As a life/personal development/wellness coach, personal trainer, ex nurse, company director and a mother,
grandmother, partner, I strive to practice what I coach by incorporating my passions into my life.
What are my passions? - People, family, well-being, fitness and health, small business, and working with
individuals and corporates assisting them achieve results. My goal is to help people from all backgrounds
and cultures, from teenagers to adults, to achieve their life's purpose.
Although I loved nursing and the people contact, I became frustrated with seeing the same patients coming
in getting "fixed" and not heeding advice and returning soon after with the same conditions or worse.
I decided I wanted to be the ambulance at the top of the cliff and not at the bottom.
Preventative is the solution
I love walking the talk and exercise - walks in the bush with Harry my Border Collie, tennis, golf, paddle
boarding the waves, and skiing. I work on my emotions and soul, practicing Energy Medicine, Chi gong,
meditation, breathing techniques and I'm open to learning other healthy modalities. I eat clean food and
as much as possible grow my own vegetables and eat as many vegetables as I can with minimal meat. I
still enjoy fish, chicken and lamb.
Holistic - Emphasising the importance of the whole and the interdependence of its parts, looking at the
body, mind and soul for wellness.

Life Balance?
A sportsperson uses a coach for improvement in their game.
I coach you in the “game of life”.
You need to be prepared to make changes and be accountable.
Change is often difficult because it is preceded by years of conditioning.
Once you understand the reason why you have been conditioned (or conditioned yourself) to do something it is much easier to overcome the conditioning process, identify the obstruction and make changes.
Where, when, how often?
You decide how often and long you want to spend. Usually 1 hour sessions are recommended, but can be reduced to less if wanted. I can work with you in my office, by phone, Zoom or Skype, or at my gym in Ngaio.
Life Coaching can be on-going or several sessions. Generally, sessions start off weekly and then fortnightly or by arrangement as you progress. Where relevant, I use tools from:
NLP: Neuro-Linguistic Programming, a name that encompasses the three most influential components involved in producing human experience: neurology, language and programming. The neurological system regulates how our bodies function, language determines how we interface and communicate with other people and our programming determines the kinds of models of the world we create. Neuro-Linguistic Programming describes the fundamental dynamics between mind (neuro) and language (linguistic) and how their interplay affects our body and behavior (programming).
EFT Tapping has deep roots in ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology that taps on meridian points to release blockages and allow energy flow. It addresses the core of living beliefs and moves towards new beliefs. Works with a wide variety of issues: physical pain, to weight loss, to money issues, to childhood trauma, phobias, addictions, fears etc.)

Energy Psychology/Medicine: Our bodies are, in essence, but a collection of energy systems and that there are ways to naturally and systematically reclaim our health and vitality.
Mindfulness Advantages: Learning to be more present and self aware. Reduce stress and feel better, less reactive and greater sense of freedom. Exercising Mindfulness is as effective as medication (without the side effects) for mild to moderate depression.
Breathing Techniques: Deep breathing can release stress and provide other noticeable health benefits. You will likely feel calmer after performing deep breathing exercises, and may trade feelings of anger or fear for a focused, relaxed state of mind. Deep breathing is sometimes used to treat anxiety disorders, sleep problems and even general body aches and pains.

There is a couch, table and chairs with herbal teas and water available. At the office you are in a beautiful garden setting with my intuitive border collie there if you need him.
It is a safe environment allowing you to open up with me offering an objective viewpoint so you can be abreast of your problems and get a new prospective on your situation. I will challenge your beliefs in a concerned way and get you to question the choices you are making.
My aim is to listen and understand, helping you with the right knowledge and skills, to help you make your life more how you want it to be (you may not know at the time what that might be but together we will find the right path). We will co-create goals that are aligned with your values and your passion.
Sometimes it won't be easy or a quick fix but if we are to change life-long habits and patterns I need your trust that we will address the underlying causes and confront the thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that have been keeping you stuck. The changes will not just help you banish the "symptoms" of your issues, but change your life to be a happier, healthier and authentic you.
